#Ferguson Is Everywhere

In the wake of the recent shooting of Michael Brown, structual racism and police violence has become the subject of debate on both sides of the Atlantic. In a recent article on theroot.com, Shihame Assbabgue and Rokhaya Diallo discuss how the French media are quick to condemn the events in Ferguson while at the same time, they hardly ever cover similar structurally racist events in France. Click here. In a statement released shortly after the killing of Mike Brown, the Initiative of Black People in Germany (ISD) also point to racist police violence in Germany.
